WE ARE VT INSURANCE AGENCY AND WE SPECIALIZE IN AERIAL APPLICATION INSURANCE WITH A STRONG FOCUS ON AG DRONES.
We’re the only US company who specializes in on-demand drone aerial applicator insurance. There are a lot of general aircraft, helicopter and manned aircraft insurance providers out there, but no one else has their expertise in this business.
Our main goal is to see more investment into the drone industry and move it forward so that it can thrive in the future.
As I’ve been doing this for years, there’s not much you’re going to be able to ask that will stump me.
With over a decade worth of relationships in this small aerial application industry, you’re getting the expertise and professionalism won’t get with other places.
When someone buys a drone and calls me up, most of the time they are just exploring the machine and getting excited to fly. They have not thought about what kind of insurance you need for it.
In our specialized world, you do need to abide by all the rules and regulations mandated by Federal Aviation Administration in order to fly a drone.
Our job is to understand and communicate all the FAA’s rules and regulations so that you can safely and legally fly drones in the United States.
Most future aerial application drone operators are unaware of this, but there are a few things you’ll need to get before starting your drone operation. You’ll need to get your Part 107, Part 137, FAA section 44807 weight exemption, drone registration, state pesticide applicators license, and of course your aerial application insurance.
The biggest and hardest thing to obtain is the 137 certificate which allows you as a company to go out and spray particulates that will impact the environment.
You have to report all the jobs you do under your 137 because at the end of the day, the FAA is the ruling body of airspace and they set the rules. This is why most non-aviation insurance companies will not write drone insurance.
That’s really the big difference between using ground rigs and aircraft to spray fields. When you fly, you need to be flying safely and legally.
WE TAILOR MAKE A POLICY FOR YOUR MISSION.
Operators are very different from one another; some operators will spray herbicides and defoliants, while others may use their drones for seeding and fertilization operations. There are many ways to use your application drone and there is not a one size fits all.
Drones have endless possibilities and it’s exciting to see what everyone is coming up with.
How quickly can I get coverage? Let’s say you call me today. I can get you a quote within an hour and then we can bind it as soon as you give me the go-ahead.
Once you say yes, you’re covered and are good to go. We can get you up and going that day.
